Canada: Four-year-old boy dies after motor vehicle hits him

Toronto, Jan. 4 (IBNS): On New Year day Nishnawbe Aski Police received a call at 6:25 p.m., when a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle.

The police said four-year-old Issac Waboose was struck by a vehicle while walking in Eabametoong First Nation which is located approximately 385 km northeast of Thunder Bay.

Waboose was transported to the Nursing Station where he died of his injuries.

The Nishnawbe Aski Police North West Region Crime Unit is currently investigating with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police Technical Traffic Collision Investigators.

The post mortem for Waboose was scheduled for Tuesday in Toronto.
