Canada: Walk-in services at all BLS centres to facilitate better delivery of visa and consular services

| @indiablooms | Feb 03, 2023, at 04:50 pm

Ottawa/IBNS: In order to facilitate better delivery of visa and consular services, it has been decided to start walk-in services at all BLS centres in Canada with effect from Feb 1, 2023.

All applicants seeking Visa, OCI, Passport and other consular services can use the walk-in mode to submit their applications and supporting documents with BLS centres, without prior appointment.

Walk-in services are being introduced in addition to the appointment and postal modes, which would continue to remain available. Depending upon the resources available at each centre and total number of daily appointments already booked, only a limited number of such walk-in applicants will be served every working day from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm.

BLS centres would issue tokens to all such walk-in applicants who can be served on the same day, within 30 minutes of their arrival at these centres.

All applicants are advised that only applications which are complete in all respects would be accepted at the BLS centres.

Those who have already booked appointments for submission of their applications and would, now, like to use the walk-in facility are requested to vacate/cancel their appointment slots, once their applications are accepted, so that the same becomes available to others seeking consular services.
