Ontario, Dec 16 (IBNS): The bodies of Canadian billionaire Barry Sherman and his wife Honey were reportedly found inside their home in Toronto, reports said.

Local police have termed the deaths as suspicious.

Sherman, the founder of pharmaceutical company Apotex, was worth $3.2 billion, according to Forbes.

Condoling the demise, Ontario's Health Minister Eric Hoskins, tweeted, "I am beyond words right now. My dear friends Barry and Honey Sherman have been found dead. Wonderful human beings, incredible philanthropists, great leaders in health care. A very, very sad day. Barry, Honey, rest in peace."

Earlier, Apotex confirmed the news on Twitter via its official handle.

"We’ve been informed of the tragic news that Barry and Honey Sherman have unexpectedly passed away. All of us at Apotex are deeply shocked and saddened by this news and our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time," the tweet read.

According to Constable David Hopkinson, "The circumstances of their death appear suspicious and we are treating it that way."

Founded in 1974, Apotex is the seventh biggest pharmaceutical company in the world.
