Ottawa/IBNS: Canadians have been advised by the federal government to use their provincial and territorial proof of vaccination documentation to travel internationally and added it will be up to foreign administrations to accept.

During a briefing on Thursday morning, officials said that they are confident these will be widely accepted, adding that the government is working with other countries to secure acceptance abroad.

The standardized COVID-19 proof of vaccination was designed featuring the national wordmark, the logo with the word "Canada" and flag.

It includes the holder's name and date of birth, number of doses, the type of vaccine, lot numbers, dates of vaccination and a QR code which includes the vaccination history.
