Coronavirus suspicion: China returnee admitted to Bangladesh hospital

Dhaka/IBNS: A student, who recently returned from China, was admitted to a government hospital in Bangladesh city of Habiganj on suspicion of the novel coronavirus, media reports said on Monday.

He was sent to the Intensive Care Unit after being admitted to the hospital on Sunday evening, Habiganj Civil Surgeon Dr Mostafizur Rahman told bdnews24.

The person is a native of Sayestaganj Sadar Upazila. 

“He will undergo medical tests and blood samples will be sent to Dhaka shortly,” Rahman told the news portal, adding that no signs of coronavirus were found on him.
