COVID-19: Death toll in Bangladesh touches 170

Dhaka/IBNS: Death toll due to COVID-19 in Bangladesh has touched 170 with the fresh deaths of two more patients, media reports said.

The fresh deaths occured in the poast 24 hours.

The tally of infections crossed 8,000 in the same period with 571 more people testing positive for COVID-19 from 5,573 samples, DGHS Additional Director General Nasima Sultana was quoted as saying by bdnews24.

Another 14 infected patients were discharged from hospitals during that period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 174 so far, reported the news portal.
