COVID-19 infected noted Bangladeshi businessman Nurul Islam Babul dies

Dhaka: Noted Bangladeshi businessman and Jamuna Group Chairman Nurul Islam Babul, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died on Monday, media reports said.

The 74-year-old breathed his last at the Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on Monday, Bangla newspaper Daily Jugantor’s Chief Reporter Masud Karim confirmed Dhaka Tribune.

He had tested positive for the highly infectious disease on June 14.

The businessman is survived by his wife Salma Islam, also a Jatiya Party MP, a son and three daughters.
