Kuwait City: Kuwait has now barred travellers and flights from Pakistan to enter its nation, an attempt made to control the spread of COVID-19.

Kuwait Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) said similar limitations will remain applicable for nations like Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

The decision by the Gulf state’s cabinet did not include cargo flights, reports Pakistan Today.

To enter Kuwait from the four countries, people must have been in another country for at least two weeks beforehand, the DGCA statement said as quoted by the newspaper.

Pakistan has witnessed a surge in COVID-19 cases over the past few weeks.
