Washington, Jan 1 (IBNS): Wishing people on the occasion of the new year, US President Donald Trump has taken a dig at his "haters".

In a tweet, Trump said he is wishing all people including the ones who hate him and also who spread fake news.

The tweet reads, "HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE, INCLUDING THE HATERS AND THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA! 2019 WILL BE A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR THOSE NOT SUFFERING FROM TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME. JUST CALM DOWN AND ENJOY THE RIDE, GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING FOR OUR COUNTRY!"

Trump often attacks media by calling it as "fake".

In January last year, the President even announced winners of 'fake news'.

Among the big winners were CNN, Time, ABC, The New York Times and Washington Post.

A report stated that 11 reports that according to the US President and the Republican Party were deemed false in nature.

Among the alleged 11 false reports, CNN was named four times, followed by NY Times at two and ABC, Washington Post, Time and Newsweek mentioned at least once.
