Washington: Former US President Donald Trump's first wife Ivana Trump has died, media reports said on Friday.

She is 73.

"She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life," Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social as quoted by BBC.

Ivana Trump, who was born in what is now the Czech Republic, married the former president in 1977 and divorced 15 years later in 1992.

They had three children together - Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric Trump.

Police believe the cause of death may be accidental,UNI reports.

Meanwhile, Ivanaka Trump tweeted: " Heartbroken by the passing of my mother. Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny. She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance." "I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always," she said.
