Quebec City, Jan 25 (IBNS): Ten people were hospitalised after a dozen fell ill on a plane at the Quebec City airport, media reports said.

On Thursday morning, at around 10.45, passengers from the Air Transat plane were evacuated after several of them experienced itchy eyes, dizziness and vomiting, CTV News reported.

The passengers had fallen ill during the deicing of the plane before taking off.

However, the patients were not seriously injured.

The unaffected passengers had to wait till 6 pm for a separate flight.

The airline and airport are investigation into the matter, said airport spokesperson Laurianne Lapierre.
