Earthquake tremors hit Pakistan

Peshawar, Apr 28 (IBNS): Pakistan was jolted by an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale on Tuesday, media reports said.

Tremors were felt in Pakistan's Peshawar, Dir, Swat, Malakand areas.

"The earthquake measured 5.5 and its epicentre was Tajikistan," Geo News reported.

No loss of life has been reported so far.

The India Meteorological Department said the epicentre of the quake, which hit at 10:33:24 hrs IST, was located at latitude  37.3 degree north and longitude  72.1 degree east in Tajikistan.

The IMD, however said the quake was 'moderate' measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale.
