Washington: Twitter chief Elon Musk said he will quit as the CEO of the micro-blogging site only if he identifies a 'foolish' successor.

"I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams," he tweeted.

Earlier, Musk had conducted a poll on the micro-blogging site where he asked people if he should resign as the CEO.

As many as  57.5 percent of people said 'yes' in the poll, giving an answer to Elon's question.
