Former Maldives President arrested
Male, Feb 22 (IBNS): In a significant development, the Maldives police have arrested country's former President Mohamed Nasheed, media reports said on Sunday
According to reports, the opposition leader has been arrested on terror charges.
"He is accused of illegally ordering the detention of a senior judge while in office in January 2012," BBC reported.
He was detained in 2013 order to arrest Judge Abdullah Mohamed.
Abdulla Yameen had defeated him in the presidential election.
