Chengdu/UNI: Four miners died while 14 others remained trapped in a flooded coal mine in southwest China's Sichuan Province, authorities said Saturday.

Rescuers are making all-out efforts to search for the trapped.

Nearly 200 personnel have joined in the rescue and professional rescue forces have entered the well, according to the provincial emergency management bureau, Xinhua reported.

The trapped could not be traced due to the interruption in communication in some mining areas.

The accident occurred at 3:26 hour on Saturday afternoon in Gongxian County.

The coal mine is owned by Furong company of Sichuan Coal Industry Group.

The rescue and search operation was underway.
