I was on it: Flier posts on X after Japan Airlines flight burst into flames

A man, who claimed he was on the Japanese Airlines flight which burst into flame at  Haneda airport in Tokyo, said all passengers in the aeroplane were safe.

William Manzione wrote on X: "Hi, I was on it. Everyone is safe and they are taking us to the terminal."

He also shared an image of the burning flight on X.

Meanwhile, firefighters are still trying to bring the flames under control.

All 367 passengers and 12 crew members escaped miraculously escaped the flight and remained unhurt.

According to reports, people were evacuated from the flight using emergency slides.

Japan Airlines says the plane collided with what appears to be a Japan Coast Guard aircraft after landing at Haneda Airport, NHK reported.

As per flight tracking site FlightAware the aeroplane was an Airbus A350-900.
