Tehran/UNI: A fire broke out at the largest marketplace in Iran's capital Tehran, injuring at least three people, Iranian Students' News Agency reported.

The injured suffered between 50 and 70 percent burns, ISNA quoted Babak Yektaparast, deputy head of Iran's National Medical Emergency Organization, as saying.

In remarks to the official news agency IRNA, Jalal Maleki, spokesman of Tehran Fire Department, said the fire broke out in a paste warehouse in a 1,000-square-meter building at Tehran Grand Bazaar.

The fire was reported at around 10 a.m. local time (0630 GMT) on Tuesday and firefighters from eight stations were sent to the scene of the incident, he added.
