Israel: US green card holder accused of stabbing four people in Tel Aviv

A US green card holder stabbed and wounded four people in Israel's Tel Aviv city on Tuesday, media reports said.

The attacker was identified as Abdelaziz Kaddi.

He was reportedly shot dead at the scene.

Kaddi was flagged by security when he arrived in the country a few days ago but was nonetheless granted entry, a decision the Shin Bet was quoted as saying by the newspaper late Tuesday it was investigating.

The Israeli city has witnessed terror stabbing incidents in recent times.

He reportedly entered Israel on tourist visa.

Interior Minister Moshe Arbel was quoted as saying by The Times of Israel that immigration officials had identified Kaddi as a threat when he arrived in the country at Ben Gurion Airport and sought to bar him from entry.

He was handed over to security officials for questioning.

“To my regret, they decided to allow his entry into Israel,” Arbel said in a statement.

The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The fresh incident occurred just three days after a man in his 30s was seriously injured in another terrorist stabbing in Tel Aviv.
