Kentucky: 86-year-old bridge demolished, video goes viral on internet

Kentucky, Apr 12 (IBNS): People in US state of Kentucky were left amused when they gathered to see the demolition of a 86-year-old bridge, media reports said.

The demolition incident occurred on Wednesday. 

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media where the suspended structure could be seen collapsing to the bottom of the lake in a quick few seconds following the explosion.

People reportedly had gathered to watch the demolition from a safe distance. The entire incident left them thrilled.

"River and road traffic were halted while the 86-year-old bridge was demolished in western Kentucky," reported BBC.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Highway District 1 authority shared the video of the demolition on the official Facebook page.
