Kentucky: US sprinter Tyson Gay's daughter shot dead

New York, Oct 17 (IBNS): Daughter of former US sprinter Tyson Gay was killed during a shooting incident in US state of Kentucky, media reports said on Sunday.

According to media reports, 15-year-old Trinity Gay was shot in the neck.

She was taken to a hospital where she was later declared dead.

Tyson was quoted as saying by TV station Lex 18, "She didn't make it. I'm so confused. She was just here last week for fall break. It's so crazy. I have no idea what happened."

"According to police, a group of men in two cars outside of Cookout began shooting at each other before speeding off down Broadway," Lex 18 reported.

Trinity Gay was shot in the neck during the incident.
