Kuala Lumpur illegal gambling syndicate: 4 Chinese nationals detained

Kuala Lumpur: Security officials in Kuala Lumpur have detained four Chinese nationals for being involved in a gambling syndicate, media reports said on Friday.

These were among the eight people detained by the police in connection with the syndicate.

Kuala Lumpur CID chief Senior Asst Comm Saiful Anuar Yusoff told The Star the suspects, aged between 21 and 31, were detained at about 4.30pm on Monday (May 31).

"We detained four local women along with two women and two men from China," he said.

A total of 17 laptops, five monitors, seven CPUs, three keyboards and 55 mobile phones were seized, he added.
