Beijing, Mar 14 (IBNS): China has mourned the loss of lives in the Nepal place crash incident.

At least 51 people were killed when a Bangladeshi plane crashed in Nepal's capital city Kathmandu on Monday.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said: "We are deeply saddened by the heavy casualties caused by this accident. We express our deep condolences to the victims and sincere sympathy to the injured and the families who have lost their loved ones."

He said one Chinese national was killed in the incident.

" According to the preliminary verification by the relevant Nepali authorities today, a Chinese citizen was killed in the crash. In the wake of the accident, the Chinese Embassy in Nepal immediately dispatched officials to the airport to verify relevant information and coordinated with the Nepali side to help the family of the deceased Chinese passenger with follow-up matters," he said.
