North Korea: Mike Pompeo meets Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang

Pyongyang, Oct 7 (IBNS): US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Sunday met North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang on Sunday.

 

Pompeo described his trip to North Korea as 'good'.

He said the US will continue to make progress on agreements made at the Singapore Summit.

US President Donald Trump and Kim had met in Singapore earlier this year.

Pompeo tweeted: "Had a good trip to #Pyongyang to meet with Chairman Kim. We continue to make progress on agreements made at Singapore Summit. Thanks for hosting me and my team @StateDept."

He had earlier tweeted: " Next stop #Pyongyang to meet with Chairman Kim and continue our work to fulfill the commitments made @potus and Chairman Kim at the #singaporesummit #DPRK @StateDept."
