Pakistan: Bird hits plane,passengers safe

Islamabad, Sept 20 (IBNS) Hit by a bird, a plane was grounded shortly after it took off from Pakistan's Islamabad airport on Saturday, media reports said.

"A Lahore bound Pakistan Internal Airlines flight (PK-649) was grounded shortly after takeoff when it was hit by a bird," Geo News reported.

"The incident took place at the Islamabad airport and the pilot was successful in grounding the plane," it said.

All the 47 passengers who were in the flight were shifted to another plane and they later departed for Lahore city.

The plane, which was hit by a bird, was sent for repairing, reports said.
