Pakistan: Court sentences man to 17 months in prison for sexual harassment

Faisalabad: A Pakistani court on Saturday sentenced a person to 17 months in prison for sexual harassment, media reports said.

The additional sessions judge also imposed a fine of Rs1.5 million on the convict in addition to the prison sentence, reports The Express Tribune.

The case was registered by the FIA's Cyber Crime Circle and action was taken against the convict under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.

According to the FIA spokesperson, Majid had shared objectionable photos of a woman on social media in 2022.
