Pakistan government will not impose full lockdown at present, Imran Khan asks people to follow COVID-19 protocols

| @indiablooms | Apr 23, 2021, at 10:40 pm

Islamabad: Pakistan PM Imran Khan on Friday said his government has decided not to impose full lockdown across the state.

Khan, however, urged people to maintain Covid-19 protocols to avoid a "complete lockdown".

PM Khan addressed the nation after chairing an important meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) Friday afternoon to give an update on the new coronavirus restrictions as the country battles the third wave of the virus, reports Geo News.

He stressed on the need to wear masks all time.

"Barely anyone is following SOPs anymore," he was quoted as saying by Geo News, adding that if we are not careful, the situation in Pakistan will be similar to that of India in the next one or two weeks.
