Pakistan: Polio worker killed in Chaman

Karachi, Apr 26 (IBNS): Polio eradication teams were attacked by unknown men in Pakistan's  Sindh and Balochistan areas, media reports said on Friday.

A female polio worker was shot and killed in Chaman area, police told Geo News.

According to police, two men on a motorcycle attacked a polio team in Chaman’s Sultanzai area, which resulted in Nasreen, a 35-year-old polio worker being killed, reported the Pakistan-based TV channel.

24-year-old Rashida was injured in the attack.

She has been admitted to a hospital in Quetta for treatment.

Police have started search operation in the area.
