Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has claimed that India is preparing for “another war”, nearly a year after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has claimed that India is preparing for “another war”, nearly a year after the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

A short video of his speech making the claim has now gone viral on social media. In the clip, Zardari is heard urging India to move towards dialogue, describing negotiations as the only viable path to ensuring regional security.

“My message to them (India) is to move away from the war theatre to meaningful negotiation tables, because that is the only path for regional security,” Zardari was quoted as saying by media reports.

According to reports, he made the remarks while addressing a joint sitting of the Pakistani Parliament.

The comments came nearly a year after the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians in Jammu and Kashmir.

In retaliation, India launched Operation Sindoor, carrying out precision strikes on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The camps were described as key training hubs for Pakistan-based terror outfits.

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) said the strikes were aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure allegedly involved in planning and executing attacks against India.
