Police rescue 20 under-aged boys and girls from Kathmandu

Kathmandu, May 4 (IBNS): Police in Nepal have rescued 20 under-aged boys and girls from various clubs and dance bars of Kathmandu city, media reports said on Saturday.

The children were rescued from downtown Thamel area in the capital city.

A team from the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu rescued them at 3:00 am this morning under the ‘operation rescue underage’ of Nepal Police, reported The Himalayan Times.

The children were rescued so as to protect them from criminal occurances that take place in Thamel, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the Range, Gautam Kumar KC, told the newspaper.

The children will be reportedly handed over to their parents.
