Protesters blocked the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Highway in Balochistan after a case of enforced disappearance came to the fore.

Baloch activist Mahrang Baloch identified the abducted person as Wahid Bux.

She posted on X: "Another case of enforced disappearances in #Balochistan."

She accused Pakistan’s Frontier Corps officers beat up the protesters who were demanding his release.

"Wahid Bux, a resident of Kech, has been abducted from his home. His family's has blocked the CPEC route, demanding justice and his release.FC officers have threatened and beaten the protesters and the family but the family has continued their protest," she said.

Another student detained

Pakistani forces have allegedly detained a student from a passenger bus in Gwadar district, media reports said.

The student was identified as Mehboob.

He was reportedly abducted from a passenger bus at the Badok checkpoint in Pasni tehsil of Gwadar.

Mehboob Baloch hails from the Turbat area of Kech and is a fifth-semester BBA student at LUAWMS, who was on his way to his native place for vacation, reported The Balochistan Post.
