Islamabad: The Baloch Students Council, which began its protest against the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) 40 days ago, are participating in a protest march after the scholarship for Baloch students was cancelled.

The march is taking place from the University campus in Multan to Islamabad.

The  march started from Oct 10.

Baloch Students Council Multan tweeted, "After 39-days of Protest Camp Infront of BZU Multan, Baloch students announced to start a long March from Mltan to Isb Via Lhr route for Restoration of Scholarships on reserved seat of Balochistan in BZU and others Uni of Punjab.
#BalochStudentsMarch4Edu."

According to the list of demands put by the Council, the university administration must take back its decision and reopen the scholarships for Baloch students, reports ANI.

The students said their demands were not paid attention by authority.

"It is very common for people of Balochistan to protest against other political and human rights issues, but here we are standing just to ask for our basic right of education. Unfortunately even for education, we have to come out on the streets and cry for such petty things," students told ANI.
