Dhaka, July 27 (IBNS): Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina has sent mangoes and flowers to newly elected British PM Boris Johnson, media reports said on Saturday.

Johnson took charge as the PM of Britain this week.

Two officials from Bangladesh High Commission in London handed over the mangoes and flowers to the officials at 10 Downing Street on Thursday morning local time, according to Hasina’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim, reported bdnews24.

The officials “cordially” received the gifts, he was quoted as saying by the news portal.

PM Sheikh Hasina is currently in London.

She is visiting the city to attend the Bangladeshi envoys’ conference and other programmes.
