Six cops, 8 militants killed in Afghanistan clash

Kabul, Oct 29 (IBNS): At least six policemen and eight terrorists were killed during a clash at Afghanistan's Arghandab district, media reports said on Sunday.

Arghandab district chief Amirjan Alokozay told Pajhwok Afghan News hundreds of militants launched coordinated attacks on six check-posts near to the district centre on Saturday night.

He said eight policemen and 12 Talibans were injured during the clash.

The weapons belonging to the terrorists were captured by security forces, media reports said.

As per Pajhwok Afghan News report, the Taliban are yet to comment on the incident.
