Two Christian brothers in Pakistan, who were on duty at the Dogra Quarantine Center, were converted to Islam recently adding to the growing number of conversions in Islamic country where minorities are allegedly in the receiving end.

The incident occured at a time when Pakistan is fighting against COVID-19 and witnessing a massive rise in the infection.

The two converted persons stay in Vehari Punjab in Dogra, Bara Tehsil.

"Heirs Yusuf son of Yusuf Masih and Sattar Yusuf son of Yusuf Masih recited the Kalima regularly and pledged to live according to Islamic principles from now on," sources said.

Their new Islamic names will be Abdul Sattar and Abdul Waris, the source added.

Replying to a question on the occasion, one of them said: "We have converted to Islam without any pressure and those who have done their duty with us at the Quarantine Center Dogra have converted to Islam inspired by their morals."

On this occasion, Haji Maroof Afridi, Mufti Kafeel, Amir Qazi Momin Afridi of Jamaat-e-Islami and other leaders congratulated him with garlands and expressed happiness over the move.
