Kabul, Nov 29 (IBNS) : The infighting among the Taliban and ISIS militants has spread to eastern Laghman province as reports indicate the two sides have suffered heavy casualties in the latest clashes.

Local Khaampa Press has quoted the  201st Silab Corps of the Afghan army in the East as saying that the latest clashes broke out in Khogyani district on Tuesday and spread to eastern Laghman province, leaving at least 20 dead or wounded.

The Silab Corps officials said at least six ISIS militants were killed and four others were wounded during the clashes in Pira Khel area of Khogyani.

The officials further added that eight Taliban insurgents were also wounded during the same clashes.

In the meantime, the Silab Corps officials are saying that two Taliban group local leaders were killed during a separate clash in Alingar district of Laghman.

According to the officials, the incident took place in the vicinity of Noorlam Sahib valley of the district.
