Kabul: Justice Minister Fazel Ahmad Manawi has sent out a strong message to Taliban and said the group is guilty of war crimes for torturing and killing war hostages.

The Minister said the group is not committed to adhering to any international laws or humanitarian norms.

Manawi was quoted as saying by Khaama Press that all crimes against humanity committed by the Taliban should be assessed at the national and international levels.

“What is done by the Taliban is a violation of human rights, a violation of international law and is an international crime and humanitarian crime,” Manawi said.

The Taliban and its atrocities are on the rise in Afghanistan in recent times ever since the group is capturing areas in the country.

Violence has spiked in the country ever since foreign forces started leaving it.

The Taliban terrorists have been brutally torturing civilians in the region, media reports said.

Several videos of such incidents are going viral on social media.
