Taliban rejects Pakistan's claim that India is using Afghanistan's soil to operate against it

Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson of the Taliban government, told Tolo News that, based on its policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, it does not allow anyone to use Afghan soil against any country.

Fitrat said, "Currently, there is no threat to anyone, and such concerns suggesting that one party is being nurtured against another are baseless."

"The Islamic Emirate adheres to a policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and does not permit the use of Afghan soil to create insecurity, especially against neighbouring countries," he said.

"These concerns are therefore groundless. That said, we emphasise that relations with Pakistan are important to us and must be based on mutual interests," he said.

He said Afghanistan seeks to maintain good relationships with both India and Pakistan.

He said Afghanistan plans to observe a neutral, non-interventionist policy in foreign affairs.

Waziristan attack: India rejects Pakistan's blame

India on Sunday strongly rejected the Pakistani Army's claim that it was behind the Waziristan suicide bomb attack, which killed 13 soldiers a day before.

"We have seen an official statement by the Pakistan Army seeking to blame India for the attack on Waziristan on 28 June. We reject this statement with the contempt it deserves," Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a statement on X.

At least 13 soldiers died and several others were injured after a suicide bomb blast rocked Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, close to the Afghanistan border, on Saturday, media reports said.

According to a report published in the Anadolu News Agency, the blast occurred on an army convoy in Khadi Market.

Security officials told the news agency that the coordinated attack occurred in Mir Ali when a suicide bomber detonated explosives near a bomb disposal unit vehicle from the 22 Frontier Force Regiment.
