Taliban-triggered IED blast kills nine children in Afghanistan

Kabul/IBNS: An IED blast, which was triggered by Taliban terrorists, killed at least nine school children in Afghanistan's North-eastern Takhar province, media reports said on Saturday. 

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the Taliban militants had planted the IED in Tahiraha Village of Darqad district, reported Khaama Press.

According to reports, children were on their way to school when they stepped on IED which killed nine of them.

One child was injured in the incident.

The Taliban group did not comment on the issue so far.
