Three people arrested over Leicester explosion: Police

London, Mar 1 (IBNS): The police on Thursday said they have arrested three men on suspicion of manslaughter f ollowing an explosion in Leicester on Sunday.

The explosion left five people killed.

"The three men, all in their 30s, have been arrested late this afternoon and are being questioned by detectives," Leicestershire police said in a statement on Thursday.

The police further said: " One man comes from East Anglia, the second from the North West of the country, and the third from the East Midlands."

The police said the incident on Sunday had no link to terrorism.

"Whilst we will not disclose further details at this stage, we stress that there remains no evidence that the events of Sunday night are in any way terrorist related," the police said.
