Toronto/IBNS: The city of Toronto is hosting its eighth annual Toronto Newcomer Day at Nathan Phillips Square and Toronto City Hall on Wednesday.

Toronto Deputy Mayor Ana Bailão (Davenport) and city staff are joining Toronto residents to celebrate the contributions that newcomers make to this diverse city with an information fair with family-friendly activities.

As part of Team Toronto’s continuing efforts to bring COVID-19 vaccination opportunities to places residents live, work, and play, a vaccination clinic on Nathan Phillips Square would also be hosted by Toronto Public Health.

The clinic would offer first, second, third, fourth, and pediatric doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to anyone who is eligible and operate by appointment and on a walk-in basis.

While OHIP is not required, masks are mandatory inside the clinic area.

Toronto Newcomer Day is sponsored by Desjardins Financial Group, chatr (Rogers Communication), Tim Hortons, Star Metroland Media, and New Canadians TV.

Official event partners include Metrolinx and Paragon Testing Enterprises.
