Toronto, Dec. 6 (IBNS): Conducting a search warrant for drugs on Scarborough Golf Club, near Toronto, led the police to the discovery of a suspicious item in a children’s box in a garage, said Det. Andrew Lipkus, Monday around 7:20 p.m., reported CTVNews.

According to the investigators police had received information of three fire arms in the house and explosive device in the garage.

The police officers set a boundary and evacuated several surrounding homes.

The bomb squad, the emergency task force, and Toronto firefighters were all called to investigate.

The police found the guns but could not determine if the suspicious item found was explosive.

The suspicious item was removed and people were permitted to go back to their homes.

Police took one person in custody, said Lipkus.
