Washington: US Presidential election’s Democratic nominee Joe Biden on Saturday wished the Hindu community on Navratri and wished for victory of good over evil once again.

The Hindu festival commenced on Saturday.

Wishing the community, Biden tweeted: "As the Hindu festival of Navratri begins, Jill and I send our best wishes to all those celebrating in the U.S. and around the world. May good once again triumph over evil — and usher in new beginnings and opportunity for all."

He made the wish at a time when the US is gearing up for the crucial presidential polls and the Indian Americans make up less than 1 per cent of registered voters in the country.

The polls will start from Nov 3.
The elections will decide the next President of the country.
