After Assam, now Haryana to preapre its citizen's list, announces CM Manohar Lal Khattar

Hisar, Sept 15 (IBNS): After Assam, the country's next citizens' list will be prepared by the Haryana government, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said on Sunday.

The move was taken in Assam to check illegal immigration in the state.

"We will implement NRC in Haryana," the CM tweeted.

On Aug 31, the  National Register of Citizens (NRC) authority had published the final list of NRC for Assam, in which more than 19 lakh people were excluded.

According to the NRC authority, all persons who have applied for inclusion their names in NRC up to August 31, 2015 and have valid ARN number can check their final status online.

A total of 3,30,27,661 persons had applied for inclusion their names in the NRC.

Out of the total applicants 3,11,21,004 persons have been found eligible for inclusion in final NRC. 19,06,657 persons were left out from the list.
