An Army jawan killed, three others were injured in Manipur IED attack

Imphal, Manipur, May8 (IBNS) : An army jawan was killed and three others including a Junior Commanding Officer ( JCO) were injured in a powerful IED blast triggered by suspected militants in Manipur's Indo-Myanmar border area of Moreh on Monday morning, officials said.

The blast that  took place very close to the  International border with Myanmar hit  an army vehicle carrying  the soldiers  of the 165 Territorial Army on NH 102,

According to the reports, the blast was triggered by using some remote deviceT.

In the attack  four army personnel were critically wounded. Of them, one succumbed to his injuries.

The three others are in hospital in serious condition.

Top army and police officials had rushed to the area and launched a massive operation against the attackers.
