Assam: Dacoits kill woman in Nagaon district

Guwahati, Oct 14 (IBNS): A woman was killed after dacoits fired at her in central Assam’s Nagaon district.

The incident took place at Bagariguri area near Juria on Saturday night, when armed dacoits barged into the house of a businessman named Fakaruddin.

According to the reports, six armed dacoits assaulted the family members of Fakaruddin and fired at his wife during a clash.

The deceased woman was identified as Hapsina Begum.

The dacoits looted cash and ornaments from the house.

Following the incident, local police rushed to the area and launched operation to nab the dacoit team.
