Benami Property Case: Tejashwi Yadav, Misa Bharti likely to face criminal proceedings

Patna, Aug 17 (IBNS): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad's son and daughter, Tejashwi Yadav and Misa Bharti, are likely to face criminal proceedings by the Income Tax Department in the money laundering case, media reports said.

Along with Misa and Tejashwi, Lalu's son-in-law Shailesh Kumar has als been summoned by the IT Department. They have been asked to meet the IT official on Thursday, Friday and Monday.

Earlier in June, the IT Department  attached 12 properties belonging to Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti, son-in-law Shailesh Kumar, his son and Deputy Chief Minister  Tejashwi Yadav, wife Rabri Devi and two other daughters, Chanda Yadav and Ragini Yadav.

In July, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had  issued summons to Shailesh Kumar, son in law of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, in the alleged Rs 8,000- crore money laundering case.
