New Delhi, July 17 (IBNS): The parliamentary committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met this evening where the leaders are likely to pick their candidate for the vice-presidential poll, media reports said on Monday.

Though the BJP was first among all parties to announce the name of the presidential candidate, they took time to finalise the name of the candidate for the vice-presidential poll.

However, the Opposition has already floated their joint candidate for the presidential poll.

The 18 opposition parties together named former West Bengal governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi as their candidate.

The presidential poll took place on Monday whose results are awaited.
