BSF organised civic action programme in Meghalaya’s South West Garo Hills

Guwahati, Oct 10 (IBNS): The Border Security Force (BSF) organised a civic action programme in Meghalaya’s South West Garo Hills district on Tuesday, officials said on Wednesday.

The 26th battalion of BSF had organised the programme at Balughat border out post along Indo-Bangladesh boder and distributed computer sets, laptops, sewing machine among the people residing in bordering areas.

Vijay Kumar Tapirayal, DIG SHQ Tura attended as a chief guest in the programme.

The youth of bordering village were imparted two month computer tailoring training under this programme.

After training computer, sewing machines were distributed by the chief guest.

Vishal Rane, Commandant of 26 Bn, Sujeet Paul Assistant Commandant, Vijay Pandey, Inspector ( G) villages Nokma, Principal of Balughat government school and students of the school, 80 villagers, media persons also present in the civic action programme.
