Bijnor/IBNS: Congress General Secretary(UP East) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday met the relatives of the two people killed recently in firing during CAA agitation, media reported.

According to reports, the meeting was an unscheduled one. Priyanka reached Nahtaur area of Bijnor district to meet the kin of the two deceased individuals and also interacted with the local people.

The senior Congress leader's meeting comes a day after poll strategist and JD(U) leader Prashant Kishor criticized the top Congress leadership, especially the Gandhis, for being "largely absent" from the CAA and NRC protests. Rahul Gandhi, too, has been criticized for his ill-timed visit to South Korea, while agitation against CAA and NRC was at the peak across India.

Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor was one of the hotbeds of violent CAA protests where agitators, reportedly, hurled brickbats and stones at the policemen and also torched some vehicles.
