Coast guard rescues eight crew members of distressed vessel
Mumbai, Dec 26 (IBNS) Eight crews of a vessel were rescued 50 kms south of Mumbai by the an Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Ship late on Friday, reports said.
The rescue took place after receiving an alert from MSV Sarojini after the vessel's engine room flooded and the vessel started sinking.
The vessel was on passage from Porbandar to Beypore carrying 430 tonnes of Soda Ash with eight crew, all from Gujarat.
